Owner and founder, Lakey Harkrader grew up in Louisa County, VA and is a deacon at Gilboa Christian Church.  He graduated from Randolph Macon College with a degree in Economics and Business.  After school he worked in management for Faulconer Construction Company and then moved on to follow his dream.  Since leaving Faulconer, he has worked in different parts of remote Alaska as a big game hunting guide and commercial fisherman.  In Alaska, Lakey has spent many hours in small bush planes and float planes, getting to know some of the best pilots the country has to offer, and be a part of some of the most rugged and real flying there is. This is where he found his passion for aviation. "As soon as I started flying, it took over my life.  I feel very blessed to have found something to make a career out of, that will never seem like work.  It makes it even better that I get to share that passion with others, as a flight instructor."- Lakey Harkrader.
